Social Media Case Study:

I was responsible for animating and designing this case study for our client. This involved using After Effects for creating visually engaging graphics and Premiere Pro for editing in order to create a coherent and factually accurate summary from the social media campaign, that I also helped to run on social media. I also helped to construct and develop the content used across the social channels.

Rip It Up 60s:

As a content creator, it was my responsibility  to create assets for social media and OOH advertising to help promote the brand, using limited assets. Due to the nature of Theatre, our budgets are often very tight, therefore we have to provide the highest quality product for what budget we had been given. This was one of the many digital banners I had animated using After Effects and exported to comply with advertising regulations.

'Tis a Match:

In order to stay relevant and appealing to our target audience, we creatively took Shakespeare and animated together a 'Tinder' type video match to use as part of our social media campaign. This was particularly effective and had a massive impact on reach and engagement.

Mushy:

This digital banner advert was created using a mixture of After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop. I was able to use layered files in order to animate each text animation. I had also modified the raw footage and ultra key the green screen background to fit with the branding of the show.

Blood Brothers EPK:

Being a content creator requires a need to adapt and produce visually striking content. When clients have a limited financial budget towards a project, we often have to think of ways to produce a video of high quality for an affordable price. For this project, I was given 6 production images and no video content. Using my knowledge in parallax editing and Photoshop masking, I was able to effectively seperate  layers of depth and edit using Premiere Pro. This enabled me to create movement from an otherwise static image, and for a low budget.

VIDEO EDITING

Target Live - Kings Cross Digital Banners:

As part of a company seminar, I was tasked with creating a digital banner spread to spread awareness of the company during peak times on the Kings Cross underground banners. I had edited the above, under very short time constraints, and used knowledge of compliance video exporting to encode each video to meet technical requirements of the advertising board.

Social Media/TV Assets:

Listed are a few examples of the wide range and styles used within my editing projects. Each has been created with using client briefs to help promote the brand or show. These have all been created using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and InDesign. I also assisted on many of these film shoots as a camera operator, audio recorder and assistant director.

Social Media Assets:

Above are a few examples of the many social media assets created for social media. In order to appeal to a wider audience, this light-hearted and entertaining social asset was effectively integrated within the social media strategies for each campaign. I was responsible for editing, animating and designing these content assets using the Adobe creative suite. I was also part of the production process within the role of assistant directing, camera operating and audio recording.

Park Theatre Fundraiser:

This video was produced in order to be shown at a fundraising gala to promote community projects within this theatre. My task was to create an emotionally captivating video to tell a story spread awareness of this project. This video contributed alongside wider work from the team to raise over £150,000 for the charity.

VIRTUAL REALITY PRODUCTION

Virtual Reality Project:

For my Graduate Project, we were given the opportunity to create a product to fill a need within the market. I had decided, optimistically, to code a VR app with no prior experience of app development. This included creating my own multi-room space using Unity while also filming and editing my own 360 video content. Through self-teaching, research and trial & error, I was able to construct a fully-functional app fit with a 360 soundscape (and got a first 1:1!). The document above explains my project in more detail.

AUDIO PRODUCTION

The Man From Eldoret Audio Podcast (2015):

This audio piece was an individual project with a 5 minute limit. As a homage to my family history, I decided to create a life story (of my great grandfather) in the form of an audio podcast edited using Adobe Audition. This piece in particular received a 1:1 and was chosen by the university to be submitted for the Charles Parker Prize award. It demonstrates my ability to collate original SFX, fix & modify audio samples and structuring narrative during the editing process.

SCRIPTWRITING

The Policeman Script (2015):

This is the final version of an original script that I had developed and formatted, receiving a 1:1. It follows industry standard formatting techniques, the flow of narrative and character development. The ideas, creation and development of this script was also based on my own creative ideation and wider research.
